Kaka Igbokwe, former manager of music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and son of the late legend Christy Essien-Igbokwe, has confirmed the authenticity of the old viral video showing 2Baba being arrested in London following a heated altercation with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru.
Recall that 2Baba travelled to the United Kingdom with Natasha, who is also a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly, for a concert tour. However, he missed a scheduled show on October 2, 2025, sparking rumours that he had been arrested after a confrontation with his wife at the airport.
Ex-Manager Confirms Incident
Speaking during an Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze on Monday evening, Igbokwe stated that “everything you heard about the couple’s face-off was true.”
He explained that he was part of the London team and travelled on the same flight as the couple. According to him, the argument began shortly after they arrived at the airport. Natasha reportedly became upset when she felt 2Baba had abandoned her to interact with fans who escorted him into a shop.
Igbokwe said that when the African Queen singer realised Natasha had been left behind, he rushed back to her, but she confronted him angrily. The heated exchange quickly escalated, leading to 2Baba being handcuffed and taken into custody.
Old Video Resurfaces, Controversy Reignites
The video, posted online on December 1, 2025, reignited debates, with many social media users revisiting the earlier rumour that 2Baba had denied.
In a previous Instagram video, 2Baba dismissed claims of an arrest, explaining that he missed the concert due to a medical emergency. Despite his denial, the story continued circulating on blogs and social media platforms.
The controversy resurfaced after blogger Tosin Silverdam posted what he described as fresh evidence — a video clip allegedly showing 2Baba being arrested at London’s Gatwick Airport after the altercation with Natasha. In his caption, he wrote:
“Video of Tuface Idibia Being Arrested by the Police in the UK After an Alleged Altercation with His Wife Natasha… The Video Is Finally Out.”
