Gov Okpebholo, Edo Christian Community Celebrate Easter, Victory at the Tribunal

Edo state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has called on the christian body to continue to pray for the success of his administration, noting that he based his government on the mandate of God.
Governor Okpebholo while speaking at the Edo Easter Prayer and Praise Rally, with theme A New Edo Has Risen at the New Festival Hall, Government House noted that his acknowledgment of God’s direction made his campaign successful.
The Governor explained that the decree made on the day he started his campaign has come to pass, urging christians never to stop believing and praying to God for directions.
Governor Okpebholo thanked the church for standing by him in prayers since assuming office, and urged them to continue to pray for the success of his administration to continue impacting the lives of Edo citizens positively.
On his part the Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters and Chaplain, Government House Chapel, Apostle Dr Sule Faraday Azekhumen thanked the Christian leaders in the state, who he noted have been saying intercessory prayers for the success of the government.
In her remarks the Coordinator Office of the First Lady, Mrs Edesili Okpebholo Anani who was ably represented by Mrs Mabel Obetor said “as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter, let us reflect on the values of love, peace, and unity that Christ embodied and promote love and unity in our state.
The occasion featured praise and worship, from notable Gospel artists as well as prayers for the Country, State and peace and security in the Land.
