Coordinator Office of the First Lady Commends Health Initiative, Pledges Support

The Coordinator’s Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Edesilli Okpebholo Anani, has commended the Chairman of the Health and NGO Committee of Akoko Edo Development Association, Akoko Edo Forum, Dr. Ieomiare Adebudo, for his initiatives aimed at improving healthcare in the community. The commendation was made during a courtesy visit to her office at Governor House.

Mrs. Anani expressed her admiration for Dr. Adebudo’s passion for healthcare, particularly the national health insurance scheme and child health insurance. “Having healthy people translates to a healthy community, and ultimately, wealth,” she emphasized, highlighting the importance of access to quality healthcare, especially during disease outbreaks.

She commended Dr. Adebudo’s efforts to enroll people in the national health insurance scheme and pledged her office’s support for initiatives that benefit the community.

The First Lady also appreciated Dr. Adebudo’s idea of empowering women through gardening and sustainable living, noting that this promotes healthy eating and self-sufficiency. “My office is always open to collaborating with you on initiatives that benefit our community,” she assured.

In his remarks, Dr. Adebudo stated that the aim of his organization is to support families and empower women through various projects. He highlighted the initiative to encourage people to saccess healthcare, and their efforts to provide care to those in need.

Dr. Adebudo also revealed that they have been exploring potential collaborations with partners, including an American partner who shares their vision for Africa. The proposed partnership could open up new avenues for growth and development, particularly in the healthcare sector.
