Senator Monday Okpebholo Celebrates Supreme Court Victory

Edo state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has promised to set up a commission of enquiry to prob the administration of Former Governor Godwin Obaseki, and ensure anyone found looting Edo state government resources is meant to face the law.

Governor Okpebholo made the declaration during a victory parade in Benin City after the supreme court affirmed his election Victory.

Fanfare, and dance troupes by different organizations and interest groups as well as APC chieftains gathered at the airport to receive the governor, from Abuja, while they led a motorcade of fanfare with the governor to the Edo state government house.

Addressing the part faithfuls, Governor Okpebholo thanked Edo People for standing by him all through the election, as well as the various court cases culminating at the supreme court, which all gave unanimous judgments reaffirming the will of the people.

Governor Okpebholo accused the People Democratic Party of trying to use money to buy the votes of the people but failed, and latter tried to bribe the judges, which was also resisted by the judiciary.

The Governor however promised to probe the immediate past administration to recover alleged Edo Funds they stack pilled to subvert the will of the people.

Governor Okpebholo promised Edo People that his administration will now work harder to ensure development in all sectors as part of his pledged to the Edo indigens.

On his part, Deputy Governor Mr. Denis Idahosa thanked the people for praying for the victory urging themand top government officials to avoid issues that can distract the government

Also speaking, former Deputy Governor Comrade Philip Shaibu described the Supreme Court verdict as a reaffirmation of the will of the people and called on the people to be patient with the Governor as well as President Bola Tinubu.

The Supreme Court in a unanimous judgement by a 5 man panel affirmed the September 21st Governorship election Victory of Senator Monday Okpebholo as Governor of Edo state.
