The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, kick off a five-day Computer-Based Test (CBT) promotion examination for over 8,000 civil servants across 165 cadres in the FCTA and Federal Capital Territory Development Authority (FCDA).
Announced Sunday by FCT Civil Service Commission Chairman Emeka Ezeh, the exercise runs through Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the National Open University Study Centre, Kubwa Expressway, Abuja.
Key highlights:
- Approved by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as part of staff motivation and to clear the 2024 promotion cycle backlog.
- Covers all cadres — from junior to senior officers.
- Fully digital CBT format, building on the successful first-ever CBT promotion exam held August 12, 2025, which promoted 49 deputy directors to directors (results released August 26).
Ezeh emphasized that the digital platform ensures transparency, speed, and fairness, marking a permanent shift from paper-based exams.
This is the second major CBT promotion exercise in 2025 — a clear sign the FCT is fast-tracking career progression and embracing digital governance under Minister Wike.
