Edo Government To Support Osaro Eghosa Guinness Book of Record Attempt On Treadmill

The Edo state Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Hon. Chris Nehikhare, said the state government will support Osaro Eghosa Gospel, a young man from Edo state who is making an official attempt in the Guinness World Record on greatest distance covered on a treadmill in fourty-eight hours.
The commissioner made the statement during a press conference in Benin. “It is part of the things we want to do, to make sure that our people get the support of government for whatever endeavour they want to attempt. We are pleased that this young man decided to do this at this time, let’s come out and cheer him up with our support and encourage him to succeed.”
Osaro Eghosa Gospel, son of Edo State, from Orhionwmon Local Government Area, is ready to embark on an historic journey that will put our great state on the global map.
He is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the GREATEST DISTANCE COVERED ON A TREADMILL IN 48 HOURS.
According to Gospel Osaro the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the greatest distance covered on a treadmill in 48 hours by a male is not just a personal feat; it’s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Edo people.
He said, this record attempt will showcase Edo State’s potential for sports tourism and investment, Inspire the youth to embrace endurance sports and healthy lifestyles, Create a social and public awareness of the vital importance of fitness and health, Promote sports, young athletes, home grown talents and youth development in Edo State and Nigeria at large.
Osaro further stated “this record attempt is for you. It’s a reminder that your dreams are possible, no matter how impossible they may seem. I urge you to embrace this spirit of discipline, determination & resilience and apply it to your own lives, pursuing your passions and never giving up”.
The event is schedule for Thursday 15th – Saturday 17th August, 2024
VENUE: Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Indoor Sports Hall, Benin City, Edo State.
