Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Emphasizes the Sanctity of Marriage

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady of Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, joined family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate the wedding of Edowaye Hilda Ihenyen and Isaac Igenebale Ebare at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ugbowo, Ovia North East Local Government Area.

Speaking on behalf of the Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Anani congratulated the couple and highlighted the importance of marriage. “Marriage is a sacred union ordained by God. It is the foundation of society and should be built on love, respect, and commitment,” she said.

The parents of the bride and groom, filled with joy, expressed their gratitude to God and prayed for a happy and successful marriage for their children.

The Chairman of the occasion, Prof. Osagie Dawodu, encouraged the couple to keep faith at the center of their union. “Every marriage faces challenges, but making Jesus your anchor will bring stability and peace. I pray their journey together is filled with love and blessings.”

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Mrs. Irene Ihensekhien, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Mabel Obeto, Chief Protocol, Office of the First Lady, and Mrs. Esther Kolade, APC Oredo Local Government Women Leader, as well as business leaders, family, and friends.

The presence of the Office of the First Lady at the event reinforced its commitment to promoting strong family values and supporting communities across Edo State.
