Orhionmwon Women Vanguard Pays Solidarity Visit to Hon. Bright Iyamu

Orhionmwon Women Vanguard yesterday paid a solidarity visit to the Honourable Member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Iyamu at Upper Sakponba, Benin city.

The delegation, led by Mrs. Elizabeth Ehimwenma, President of Orhionmwon Women Vanguard, expressed their appreciation for Hon. Iyamu’s contributions to the empowerment and development of women in the constituency.

While receiving the delegation, Hon. Iyamu reaffirmed his commitment to improving the lives of women through various empowerment initiatives. He assured them that he would continue to support women through his projects to ensure that no home in Orhionmwon is left behind.

The lawmaker emphasized that, “*empowering women has a direct impact on society and the economy, and he remains dedicated to making Orhionmwon South better and brighter for all*”.

Addressing recent speculations about his political allegiance, Hon. Iyamu firmly stated “I, remains a card-carrying member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP”. He dismissed the rumors of his defection as baseless and urged the public to ignore such misinformation, labeling those spreading it as mere detractors.

Iyamu further stressed that the legislators are working closely with His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to advance the development of Edo State.

In her remarks, Mrs. Ehimwenma expressed gratitude to Hon. Iyamu for his steadfast support of the Orhionmwon Women Vanguard, acknowledging his dedication to the well-being of women in the constituency.

Also speaking, Hon. Monday Igbinigie reassured the women that, “*Hon. Iyamu’s development projects are bringing positive transformation to Orhionmwon South, ensuring that the people benefit from sustainable growth and progress*”.

The visit underscored the strong bond between the lawmaker and the women of Orhionmwon South, reinforcing his commitment to inclusive governance and community development.
