Coordinator Office of the First Lady Implore Women To Embark On Regular Health Check

In commemoration of this year World Kidney Day, Coordinator Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Anani, has urged the good people of the state to prioritize their kidney health through regular check-ups and healthy lifestyle.
Mrs Anani gave the advice during an interactive session with some women groups in her office at Government House.
She emphasized the need for proactive measures to protect kidney health as the kidneys played a vital role in eliminating waste, regulating blood pressure, and maintaining overall well being.
She however encouraged women, to focus on healthy diets consisting of fresh vegetables, low-sodium fruits like blueberries, fish, and whole grains.
Mrs Anani advised that staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water was essential for proper kidney function.
Additionally she admonished women to limit their use of over-the-counter painkillers, which medical experts have identified as a potential trigger for kidney diseases.
The theme for this year’s World Kidney Day is, Are Your Kidneys OK ? Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health, underscores the significance of early detection and prevention.
