Patience Ndidi key PRP Gubernatorial Candidate Honoured as Noble Woman of the Year

In a glamorous and inspiring ceremony, BA Global Consult, a respected non-governmental organization, hosted the 14th Edition of the BA Global Awards at Mela Motel, Uselu Market.

The event, which featured a paper presentation on “How Research Improves Public Policies and Economic Outcomes,” celebrated outstanding achievements in leadership, research, and public policy.

Among the honourees was Patience Ndidi Ofure Key, the former Edo State gubernatorial candidate from the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) during the 2024 election and a 2023 presidential aspirant. Recognised for her dedication and contributions to public service, she was awarded the title “Noble Woman of the Year.” Barr. Anthony Asagba represented her at the ceremony, where she conveyed her heartfelt appreciation and commitment to inspiring future leaders.

“This recognition is not just for me, but for every woman who has dared to lead, every young girl who dreams of breaking barriers, and every citizen who envisions a better Edo State and a greater Nigeria,” said Patience Ndidi Ofure Key. She added, “I thank the organizers for this prestigious honor and for providing a platform where research, policy, and leadership are celebrated as instruments of national progress.”

During his keynote address, Dr. Bishop Akhalamhe, Chairman of the event, emphasised the critical role of research in shaping effective public policies. He stated, “Research is crucial in every aspect of society. Governments at all levels must invest in adequate research to make informed decisions. A dedicated research unit is essential in government to help resolve complex problems and ensure good governance.”

Dr. Akhalamhe also noted that candidates who contest elections in Edo State, regardless of their political platform, earn respect for the extensive research and planning required before launching their campaigns. “Before you decide to run for office, you must have done adequate research and provided solutions to the issues at hand. This is what makes Patience Ndidi Key stand out,” he remarked.

Dignitaries from various sectors attended the event, which concluded with a group photograph of all award recipients.

The ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the importance of evidence-based decision-making in driving economic growth and societal progress.
