Hon Bright Iyamu holds pally with Edo Security Corps in Orhionmwon
In a bid to curb insecurity challenges current bedeviling Orhionmwon local government area, Edo State the honourable member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency, Edo State House of Assembly had a pally with Edo State Security Corps, Orhionmwon chapter.
The pally is a step towards addressing insecurity concerns and enhancing collaboration between security agencies and the constituents.
Hon Iyamu, while addressing the team ably led by the Commandant Nehizena Charles, said, “insecurity challenges in Orhionmwon Local Government Area requires a multi-faceted approach to solve the lingering issues and here are some potential strategies”:
*Enhanced Security Patrols*: Increase police and vigilante presence, especially in hotspots, to deter crimes.
*Community Engagement*: Foster trust between security agencies and locals through town hall meetings, outreach programs, and intelligence gathering.
*Intelligence Sharing*: Encourage collaboration between security agencies to share information and coordinate efforts.
*Infrastructure Development*: Improve lighting, good roads network and basic amenities to reduce opportunities for crime.
*Collaboration with Traditional and Religiois Leaders*: Engage traditional and religious leaders in security discussions and decision-making.
*Public Awareness Campaigns*: Educate citizens on security best practices and encourage reporting suspicious activities.
These strategies can help address insecurity in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, he add.
Hon Iyamu further stated, ” The Executives Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpbeholo has put all the necessary machinery in place to stop insecurity.
The Edo State Security Corps, Commandant Nehizena Charles appreciated the lawmaker and reiterate their commitment to ensuring that security is beef up in Orhionmwon and the entire nooks and crannies is protected.
The engagement underscores Edo state government readiness to curb insecurity in Orhionmwon and Edo State at large.
