Empowering the Future: Mrs Edesili Okpebholo Anani Celebrates Children’s Day
As we commemorate Children’s Day, I acknowledge the immense potential within every child in our community. Today, we honor their joy, resilience, and creativity, while reaffirming our commitment to creating a world where every child can thrive.

As the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, I’ve had the privilege of working with dedicated individuals who strive to provide our children with the best possible start in life. Our children are not only future leaders but also active contributors to our communities today, bringing fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and boundless energy.
However, many of our children face significant challenges, including limited access to quality education and healthcare, safety concerns, and protection issues. It’s our collective responsibility as a society to address these challenges and ensure every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
To achieve this, we must prioritize investments in education, healthcare, and child protection. We must create environments where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow. By working together, we can build a brighter future for our children and lay the foundation for a more prosperous and equitable society.
I’d like to express my deepest appreciation to all the children, parents, educators, and community leaders working tirelessly to create a better world for our children. Your dedication and passion are truly inspiring. I’m honored to be part of this effort. To the Senator Monday Okpebholo-led Government, thank you for establishing policies and programs that advocate for stronger protection and empowerment of our children.
Let’s continue to empower our children to become active participants in shaping their own futures and the future of our society. Happy Children’s Day to all our wonderful children.
Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani. Coordinator Office of the FirstLady, Edo State.
