Hon. Bright Iyamu Democracy Day Message: A Call to Action for Orhionmwon South

Great Orhionmwon-South Constituency,

Today, we celebrate 26years of uninterrupted civil rule, the progress we have made and acknowledge the work still needed to strengthen our democratic institutions.

June 12 represents the struggles and sacrifices made by our forebears, particularly the legendary MKO Abiola, who fought tirelessly for our democracy. I want us to reflect on the significance of this day in our nation’s history.

As your representative in the Edo State House of Assembly, I am committed to upholding the principles of democracy and promoting the welfare of our people.

I, remain committed to advocating for policies that will enhance our democratic institutions, promote good governance and improve the quality of life for all. It is our shared responsibility to safeguard the principles of democracy and work together towards a more prosperous and equitable future for Orhionmwon L.GA, Edo State.

As we celebrate and observe Democracy Day, let us renew our commitment to the ideals of democracy. Let us embrace unity, respect diverse opinions and strive for a society where every voice is heard and valued. Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more democratic Nigeria.
