Nasarawa, November 30, 2025 – Architect Muhammad Magaji has been sworn in as the new National President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), promising to deliver a unified, innovative, and youth-driven agricultural revolution in partnership with the President Bola Tinubu administration.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the 2025 National Agricultural Showground along Abuja–Keffi Road, Magaji called on farmers nationwide to rally behind the government’s renewed focus on food production:
“The Tinubu-led Federal Government is fully committed to agriculture and the welfare of farmers. All they need is a unified umbrella body of Nigerian farmers. We are that body, and we are ready.”
He pledged that the new 27-member National Executive Council will:
- Work hand-in-hand with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture
- Expand access to finance, mechanisation, drones, irrigation, and digital tools
- Create state- and LGA-level structures for youth and women farmers
- Attract massive investment and global partnerships
Immediate past president Arc. Kabiru Ibrahim handed over with confidence:
“I know there is a lot of work ahead, and I know you are capable.”
New National Youth Leader Sets Bold Vision
Chief Tunde Adeyemi, newly elected National Youth Leader, declared:
“Nigeria’s agriculture is powered by YOUTH. We are no longer just feeding the nation — we are building wealth, innovation, and national pride. This administration will open doors to training, finance, and modern technology for every young farmer.”
