Ahead of GOtv Boxing Night 34, Tiny Mocks Rival Happy Boy

National super bantamweight champion Durotimi “Tiny” Agboola has fired the first verbal shots at challenger Sadiq “Happy Boy” Adeleke before their highly anticipated title fight at GOtv Boxing Night 34, set for December 26 at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

The popular boxing-meets-entertainment show will also feature live music, comedy, two national title bouts, an international contest, and several exciting undercard fights.

Training in Ibadan, the confident champion brushed off his opponent’s credentials, saying Happy Boy still has a lot to learn at the elite level. “He’s not ready for this kind of pressure yet,” Tiny declared. “He calls himself Happy Boy, but on the 26th he’ll leave the ring crying. I love putting smiles on my own face by making my opponents miserable, and Happy Boy is next on the list.”

In the co-main event, national lightweight champion Sadam “Baby Boxer” Oladipupo defends his belt against the dangerous Imole “System” Oloyede.

The undercard is packed with fireworks as well:

  • Light welterweight contender and former Mojisola Ogunsanya Trophy winner Emmanuel “Ability” Abimbola faces undefeated Sodiq “Smart Lion” Suleiman over eight rounds. Abimbola didn’t hold back: “Smart Lion? More like a scared little kitten pretending to be a lion. He’ll find out the hard way when we’re in that ring.” Suleiman responded calmly, saying being underestimated only motivates him more.

Other confirmed bouts include:

  • Segun “Odi” Gbobaniyi vs. Tobiloba “Smiling Assassin” Ijomoni in a national lightweight contest
  • Ezekiel “Touch” Seun vs. Toheeb “Full Tank” Hassan at super bantamweight
  • An international super welterweight clash pitting Nigeria’s Rasheed “ID Buster” Idowu against Ghana’s Nii Offei Dodoo

GOtv Boxing Night 34 will be broadcast live across Africa on SuperSport Africa 1 (GOtv Channel 63, DStv Channel 207).
