Ariana Grande Leaves Door Open for ‘Wicked 3’ Amid Singapore Fan Deportation Drama

Ariana Grande has teased the potential for a third Wicked film, joking during a November 17, 2025, Q&A that “if we’ve learned anything from Cher, we can count on there always being another farewell tour.” The singer, who plays Glinda in the musical’s two-part adaptation, clarified it wasn’t confirmation but hinted at optimism: “I don’t think anyone’s going anywhere.” Co-star Cynthia Erivo echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the story’s emotional depth in Wicked: For Good (out November 26), but director Jon M. Chu has focused on completing the duology for now.

Meanwhile, Singapore has cracked down on the “serial intruder” who disrupted the Wicked: For Good Asia premiere on November 13, 2025, at Universal Studios. Johnson Wen, a 26-year-old Australian, jumped a barricade and grabbed Grande on the yellow carpet, prompting co-star Erivo to shield her as security intervened. Wen, known as “Pyjama Man” on Instagram for past stunts (jumping onstage at Katy Perry and The Weeknd concerts), pleaded guilty to public nuisance and served nine days in jail. He was deported to Australia on November 23 and barred from re-entering Singapore, per the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority. Wen posted post-release photos thanking Grande for the “Yellow Carpet” moment, showing no remorse. Erivo later reflected on the trauma, saying it “shook” Grande during promotions.

The fan’s history of intrusions (Katy Perry in Sydney, The Weeknd, Chainsmokers) drew calls for stricter event security. Singapore’s swift action—jail, deportation, ban—serves as a warning to “attention-seekers.”

Grande and Erivo’s sisterhood shines through the chaos, with For Good poised for box-office magic. Oz awaits—minus the clout-chasers.
