The Nigerian Army has published the list of shortlisted candidates for the Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 49/2026 Selection Board, accessible on the official recruitment portal: recruitment.army.mil.ng.
Reporting Details
- Date & Venue: Report to Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna State on Monday, December 1, 2025.
- Arrival Timeline: Be in Kaduna by Sunday, November 30, 2025. Check in between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on December 1. Late arrivals after 11:00 a.m. will be disqualified.
Required Documents & Items
Candidates must bring:
- Originals & Photocopies: Academic/professional certificates, NYSC discharge/exemption certificate, valid birth certificate, state of origin certificate, BVN printout, NIN slip, completed SSCC portal forms.
- Photos: Full-size colored passport photos.
- Verification: Scratch cards for WAEC/NECO results.
- Consent Letter: Duly signed by parents/guardian in a recognized court, waiving claims for injury/death during the exercise.
- Essentials: Writing materials, blue shorts, white T-shirts, white canvas shoes, toiletries, beddings.
Note: Any document alterations invalidate them.

Candidates will be provided accommodation and meals but must cover their own transportation. Private vehicles are banned, and no visitors allowed. A high discipline standard is enforced—violations lead to disqualification.
