The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) successfully wrapped up the 5th edition of the Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference (NDCRC) on November 19, 2025, at the Muson Centre, Lagos.

Held under the theme “From Volume to Value: The future of the Nigerian motion picture industry in the digital age,” the two-day event (November 18–19) drew filmmakers, actors, regulators, and industry leaders to chart Nollywood’s path in the streaming era.

In his keynote address, NFVCB Executive Director Dr. Shaibu Husseini urged practitioners to prioritize quality storytelling, cultural authenticity, and global-standard production over sheer volume. “The future belongs to a responsible, forward-looking Nollywood anchored on strong regulation and value creation,” he declared.

Distinguished speakers included Bolanle Austen-Peters, Naz Onuzo, and Husseini himself. Representing the Minister of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musawa, was actor and Nigerian Film Corporation DG Dr. Ali Nuhu.
