Breaking News: President Tinubu Orders Resignation of BPP Chief Mamman Ahmadu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed Mamman Ahmadu to step down as the Director-General and CEO of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced the decision, explaining that it is part of a broader initiative to improve the efficiency and transparency of the BPP.

“The Director-General is to hand over to the most senior officer in the Bureau until a new Director-General is appointed,” Ngelale said.

President Tinubu thanked Mr. Ahmadu for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors. This leadership change highlights the administration’s commitment to reforming the public procurement system, which is essential for the nation’s economic progress and good governance.
