Cardi B casts her umbilical cord in a gold pendant following birth of her 4th child

Rapper Cardi B (33) marked the arrival of her fourth child—a son born November 4, 2025, with boyfriend and NFL star Stefon Diggs (31)—by transforming her baby’s umbilical cord into a heart-shaped gold chrome pendant, a $50 custom keepsake from Mommy Made Encapsulation.

The Process

The company, which also offers $500 placenta encapsulation (turning afterbirth into postpartum vitamins), dehydrated the cord into a heart shape and dipped it in gold chrome for a metallic finish. Cardi also opted for a $65 placenta print, dyed blue and styled as the Tree of Life—another sentimental nod to her journey.

Mommy Made shared behind-the-scenes videos on Instagram, showing the cord’s transformation. It’s not Cardi’s first: She did the same for daughter Blossom (born October 2024), her third child with ex Offset.

Family Context

This is Cardi’s first baby with Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots. She shares daughters Kulture (7) and Blossom (1), and son Wave (4) with Offset. Diggs has daughters Nova (9) and Charliee (7 months) from previous relationships. Cardi debuted her son in Patriots gear on November 19, 2025, via Instagram, cradling him in a team blanket.

The couple confirmed their relationship in September 2025; Diggs joked about the pregnancy reveal during a presser: “I heard about it.”

Reactions

Fans are divided—some call it “beautiful and bold,” others “wild” or “too much.” Cardi, a body-positivity advocate, has embraced unconventional motherhood rituals like this, previously praising placenta pills for energy.

A touching tribute to her “epic story” family—congrats, Cardi and Stefon!
