COORDINATOR OFFICE OF THE FIRST LADY EMPOWERS 250 WOMEN WITH CLEAN COOKING TECHNOLOGY

Irrua, Edo State – The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has empowered 250 women with clean coal stoves and pots, as part of efforts to promote sustainable development and reduce climate change impacts.

The event was organized by BeLiEF & Care Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, held at Okaijesan Town Hall, Irrua, Edo State.

Mrs. Anani stated that the initiative aligns with the vision of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to build a resilient and environmentally conscious society.

“The provision of these clean coal stoves represents a deliberate step toward reducing our carbon footprint, mitigating the effects of climate change, and promoting sustainable development, empowering women across the three senatorial districts of Edo State is our priority.” Mrs. Anani said.

The beneficiaries appreciated the Governor and the Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, for the climate-friendly initiative, which they said would improve their health, well-being, and daily living.
