Coordinator Office Of The First Lady Empowers PWD

In a bid to improve the welfare and empower People with disabilities, enabling them believe there is ability in every disability, the Coordinator office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs Edesili Anani has distributed food stuff to some Persons With Disabilities in Benin City.
Mrs Edesili said the essence was to empower and support those with serious health challenges in their everyday lives.
The Coordinator was represented by Mr Kelvin Lawrence and Mrs Blessing Iyore, who presented the food stuff and cash to them.
While presenting the food stuff and cash, Mr Lawrence said they would always keep in touch, stressing that the Office of the First Lady is interested in uplifting the down-trodden and People with disabilities in the state.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Joy David a mother of triplets, appreciated the Coordinator Office of the First Lady for the gifts and expressed gratitude for her motherly love and care, praying God to bless the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo for remembering them.
Another beneficiary, Mr Emmanuel Okolo, who explained his ordeals how he lost his left leg in a ghastly motor accident in 2012, said he has been suffering since the accident, that he even thought of committing suicide but his children intervened and stopped him form such act.
The first lady remarked that their empowerment underscore Edo state Government commitments to inclusion in Governance.
