Coordinator, Office of the First Lady Honored with Rotary Club Membership

The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has been conferred an honorary membership of the Rotary Club of Benin Metropolitan in recognition of her outstanding contributions to community service and commitment to positive social impact in the state. The ceremony took place at the Government House, Benin City.
Mrs. Anani expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for the honour and commended the organization’s humanitarian initiatives, emphasizing the importance of individual and collective efforts toward community development.
“Thank you for this award. As a servant leader, I believe true leadership is about serving others. I am excited to partner with like-minded individuals on projects that will benefit Edo State,” she said.
She further expressed readiness to collaborate with the Club on initiatives such as the Widows Programme, where both parties can work together to make meaningful and sustainable impact, pledging her continued support for Rotary’s efforts.

In her remarks, the President of the Rotary Club of Benin Metropolitan, Rtn. Elizabeth Ativie, appreciated Mrs. Anani, noting that the event symbolized the beginning of a partnership rooted in shared values of compassion and service.
“Today’s investiture is not just symbolic, it is a reaffirmation of our shared values: compassion, service, equity, and empowerment. By accepting this honorary membership, you are joining hands with a global network of professionals who believe that service to humanity is the best work of life.
