Coordinator Office of the First Lady Joins Edo NAWOJ for Annual Thanksgiving no

Benin City, February 2, 2025 –
The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady of Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebolo Anani, today joined the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Edo State Chapter, in its annual Thanksgiving service held at Central Baptist Church, Benin City.
The Thanksgiving service was dedicated to appreciating God for protecting Edo State NAWOJ members throughout 2024 and for the success of the association’s activities during the year. It was attended by NAWOJ executives, led by the Chairperson, Adesuwa Ehimuan, members of the association, and other invited guests.
The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady Edo State, Mrs Edesili Anani, encouraged Edo NAWOJ members to always put God first in all they do as women and abide by the ethics of their profession .
The event, which coincided with the church’s Praise Sunday, was marked by joyful singing and dancing in different dialects, as the congregation expressed gratitude to God.
In his charge to the women, the Reverend in charge of Central Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Tolu Aibuonomo, took his message from Psalm 136, urging them to put God first in all their endeavors. He emphasized that God could use women to correct societal evils and prayed for their continued success.
Also present at the Thanksgiving service were Chief Patrick Ochoga, Chairman, Correspondents’ Chapel, NUJ Edo State, and Mr. Friday Aghedo, Chief Press Secretary to the Edo State Deputy Governor, amongst others.
The service concluded with special prayers and thanksgiving, reinforcing the association’s commitment to faith and professional excellence.
