Residents of Talba Housing Estate along Bida Road in Minna, Niger State, were left shocked on Sunday, December 7, 2025, after discovering the decomposed and partially burnt body of an adult male in an uncompleted building.
Mallam Mahmoud Dalhatu, Desk Officer of Talba Housing Estate and Mai-Ungwa of Albishiri Area, promptly reported the incident to the Kpakungu Area Police Division. Preliminary observations suggest that the corpse may have been dumped at the location.
Contact with the deceased’s family revealed that he had been dealing with certain health challenges. However, they emphasized that his condition would not have led him to self-harm or burning. The deceased was a married man, father of seven, and proprietor of an Islamiya school.
While the family has chosen to leave the matter to the judgment of Almighty Allah, police authorities have launched a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Residents of the estate have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
