Deputy Governor of Edo State applauds Governor Godwin Obaseki’s visionary ideals

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Engr. Marvellous Godwins Omobayo, has applauded Governor Godwin Obaseki’s visionary ideals in laying a solid foundation for the economic prosperity of the state with prudent management of resources.
The Deputy Governor made the commendation during a solidarity visit by EXCO and members of ANNEWATT, the umbrella body of tricycle and motorcycle operators in the state in his office.
Mr. Omobayo appreciated members of ANNEWATT for identifying with him and their open show of support for Governor Godwin Obaseki while assuring that their interests would be protected at all times.
He lauded the union’s contributions to the significant rise of the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by the State Government, resulting in the prompt payment of salaries and pensions, as well as setting the pace in the implementation of N70,000 minimum wage in the country.
Mr. Omobayo solicited the union’s support for the PDP candidate, Asue lghodalo and his running mate, Osarodion Ogie Esq. in the upcoming September 21 governorship election, as a reward for the good works of Governor Obaseki.
Speaking earlier, State Coordinator of ANNEWATT, Comrade Oregbe Omorodion said the visit was to express their solidarity for the Deputy Governor and loyalty to Governor Godwin Obaseki.
He noted that the present administration has given a human face to the collection of IGR in the State, compared to the high-handedness of previous administrations.
Omorodion pledged the union’s support for the election of Asue lghodalo as Governor Obaseki’s successor to consolidate the developmental strides of the present administration.
