Edo 2024: Curtis Ugbo Steps Down for Bright Enabulele

2 min read

A frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the Accord Party, (AP) Ambassador Curtis Eghosa Ugbo has stepped down his gubernatorial aspiration for Mr. Bright Enabulele and urged his numerous supporters across the state to support Enabulele and the Accord Party.

Curtis Ugbo who is an accomplished human rights activist, social critic and entrepreneur in a press statement said that Bright Enabulele has a great passion for the development of Edo State and the upliftment of it’s people. He therefore appealed to Edo people to support Bright Enabulele and the Accord Party to wrestle the state from those he said want to convert the state to their economic enclave.

“When Edo State was created in 1991, we all looked to an Edo State of a close knitted and united people. Though under the military jackboot then, we all agitated and advocated for civilian rule in the realization that we can poll our abundant human and material resources together to realize the Edo of our dream.

“However, it is crystal clear to all and sundry now that as a people we have lost track of the Edo of our dream, because those who have been saddled with the authoritative allocation of our resources have been greedy, inept, with unabated penchant for pillaging our common wealth for their selfish interest.

“It is against this backdrop that I, Ambassador Eghosa Curtis Ugbo threw my hat into the 2024 Edo State governorship race to enable me and other like minded Edo sons and daughters wrestle our state from the jaws of the economic vampires that have found their way into our governance structure.

“Having discovered one of my compatriots in the Accord Party, in the person of Mr. Bright Enabulele, who is also having the zeal, competence and passion for the development of Edo State, and after due consultations with my numerous followers in the state and the leadership of Accord Party, I have decided to step down my aspiration for Mr. Bright Enabulele.

“Bright Enabulele came to the party before me and having found that he has the interest of Edo people at heart, I decided to step down for him and join him and other patriots to rescue Edo State from the gang of self seeking politicians who want to reduce the state to their personal economic enclave.

“As we search for a reputable gubernatorial running mate from Edo Central and Edo North, I urge our people to continue to support Accord Party and my brother, Bright Enabulele”.
