EDO 2024: Hon. Bright Iyamu urges Constituents on CVR Participation

The honourable member representing the good people of Orhionmwon South Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Iyamu, has admonished his constituents to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) ahead of the September 21 gubernatorial election in Edo State.

 

The lawmaker started this during an interview with journalists at Adanako Primary School Ugo in Ugboko ward after visiting the six wards that makes up Orhionmwon South Constituency namely Ugboko, Ukpato, Ugu, Evboesi, Urhonigbe South and Urhonigbe North.

 

According to him “It is crucial for every eligible voter in our constituency to register and ensure their participation in the forthcoming elections. Our votes are our voices, and it is through our active participation that we can drive the change and progress we desire.”

 

Hon. Iyamu emphasized the importance of voter registration as a foundational step towards achieving a better and more progressive Orhionmwon.

 

“we must all exercise our civic duty by registering to vote and showing up at the polling unit to exercise your franchises. This is the only way we can ensure our community’s interests are represented and our voices are heard.”

 

The lawmaker who was excited at the large number of people who came out to register, describing it as a testament to the people’s desire to participate in the democratic process. He assured the constituents that with their support, the vision for a more developed and prosperous Orhionmwon can be realized.

 

He urged them to vote on September 21 for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barr. Osarodion Ogie, AiO² who will best serve their interests and bring developmental stride to Orhionmwon and Edo State.

 

“Together, we can make a significant impact by voting People’s Democratic Party, PDP. Let’s come out en-masse to register and vote Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barr. Osarodion Ogie, AiO² for the future of our constituency and Orhionmwon ,” Hon. Iyamu add.

 

Dignitaries at the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) are, The Chairman, Orhionmwon Council, Hon. Newman Ugiagbe and Former Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Osazee Osemwegie Ero amongst others.
