The Coordinator, Office of the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has commended the leadership and members of the Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW) for their unwavering commitment to the development of the state through impactful health and community-based interventions.

Mrs. Anani made the commendation while receiving members of the Association in Government House, Benin City.

She described the newly commissioned state-of-the-art Dialysis and Laboratory Centre as a life-saving initiative and applauded the Association for its numerous humanitarian and developmental contributions to the people of Edo State.

According to her, the project not only addresses critical healthcare needs but also serves as an inspiration to women across the state and beyond.

“It shows that when you give a woman the opportunity, she can achieve even greater results. Women are versatile, progressive, and intentional in their efforts. They are natural supporters and nation builders,” she said, while also commending the National President of ENAW, Engr. Bose Ogbeifun-Oviasu, for the laudable initiative.

In her remarks, the National President of ENAW, Engr. Bose Ogbeifun-Oviasu, expressed appreciation to Governor Monday Okpebholo for his continued developmental strides in the state, as well as to the Coordinator for her impactful programmes targeted at women and vulnerable groups.

She reaffirmed ENAW’s commitment to improving the quality of life of Edo indigenes both at home and in the diaspora through strategic interventions in health, education, and social welfare.

Engr. Ogbeifun-Oviasu also appealed for government support to facilitate the connection of the Okpella Dialysis Centre to a reliable power supply to ensure optimal operations.

The visit further underscored the strong partnership between the Edo State Government and diaspora organizations in fostering sustainable development and improving the wellbeing of citizens across the state.
