Edo Govt, LG Acting Boss wins again over impeached LG Chairmen

In a Pending Suit marked Suit No B/307OS/2024, the case of

Orhionmwon Local Government Council and 18 others v. Edo State Government AND 5 Others , an Edo State High Court presided over by Hon Justice Efe Ikpomwoba in a suit filed by Oluwole Osaze Uzzi Esq, immediate past Attorney General of Edo State on behalf of the 18 Local Government Councils in Edo State and ALGON, has vacated/discharge the Mandatory injunction it earlier issued on the 20th of December 2024 upon a Motion filed by the Attorney General of Edo State and argued by learned Senior Advocate K. O Obamogie SAN.

With this development, all is now clear for smooth Local government administration in Edo State based on the democratically elected local government structure.

It will be recalled that the Local Government Council chairmen had prior to their suspension by the Edo State House of Assembly on 16th December 2024 approached an Edo Statev High Court for an interim and mandatory injunctions which were granted .

The Office of the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice filed an application for the discharge of the said Order, which said was discharged today being the 17th of February,2025.
