Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Edo State, has congratulated Mr. Friday Aghedo popularly known as Freeman, on his appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
A congratulatory message issued and made available to Flo Media by Adesuwa Louisa Ehimuan, Chairperson, Edo NAWOJ, said the appointment of Mr. Aghedo “is a clear reflection of your dedication, commitment and hard work to the media.”
Edo NAWOJ Chairperson expressed “confident that in this new role as CPS, you will work assiduously to bring about progress, stability and growth to the media across the state.”
Aghedo has been working within the same capacity since 2019, following the deputy governor’s election into the House of Representatives and up until his emergence as the deputy governor of Edo state.
Prior to his handling of the Idahosa Media assignment, Aghedo was Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ovia South West Local Government Council.
Similarly, Aghedo served as Deputy Director, the New Media Committee of All Progressives Congress Governorship Campaign Council, where he worked tirelessly to ensure the victory of Governor Monday Okpbebholo
Before his appointment as the deputy governor’s Press Secretary, Aghedo, in addition to his previous positions, Aghedo is a blogger and publisher of an online news platform.
