Edo State Government Distributes Cash Grants to Persons with Disabilities and Vulnerable Citizens

The Coordinator Office of the First Lady,Edo State, Mrs Edesili Okpebholo Anani has empowered persons living with disability and vulnerable individuals with cash grants, reaffirming Edo State Government commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and fostering inclusive development in the State. The empowerment meeting was held in Government House.
Mrs. Edesili Anani, was represented by the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, on Special Duties, Mrs. Betty Okonoboh. She reaffirmed the Office’s dedication to promoting inclusive governance where every individual matters, irrespective of status or descent, reiterating the Government’s continuous efforts in ameliorating the plight of the vulnerable in the State.
Mrs. Anani cautioned the beneficiaries against misusing the resources, stressing the importance of utilizing them effectively, as it would have positive ripple effect of uplifting other members of the society.
Some of the beneficiaries from the Network for the Advancement of Persons with Visible Disabilities (NAPVID) Mr. Dunia Ewesor, received one million Naira grant, Mr. Orobosa Timothy Igbinomwanhia and Anna Ojugo, who received five hundred thousand Naira amongst others, expressed their profound gratitude to Office of the Edo State First Lady for the support. They acknowledged the impact the grants will have on them and pledged to utilize the resources effectively.
