Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has announced that state employees will receive their June salaries on June 14th, in time for the Sallah celebrations.

Governor Obaseki made this announcement during the inauguration of the State Secretariat Complex in Benin City on Wednesday.

He stated, “I appreciate the positive feedback on the minimum wage. I want to assure the workers that our commitment is genuine. For the past seven and a half years, since we took office, salaries have consistently been paid on the 26th of each month.

“In instances where holidays occur, we ensure salaries are paid beforehand so workers can enjoy the festivities. In keeping with this practice, June salaries will be disbursed on Friday, June 14th, ahead of the Sallah celebrations, to ensure everyone has a joyful celebration.”
