EDSOPS lauds Okpebholo for advancing Economic Growth through Technical Education

The Edo State Organised Private Sector (EDSOPS) has lauded the Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, for his administration’s support in repositioning technical and vocational education as a driver of economic growth and industrial development in the State.

‎The commendation as contained in a goodwill message signed by the President of the Benin Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BENCCIMA), Engr. Omoregie Godwin Eki, MNSE, AICMC, on behalf of EDSOPS, expressed appreciation to the Governor for providing the enabling environment that has strengthened collaboration between Government, the private sector, and technical education stakeholders.

‎He further commended the Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE), led by Barr. (Mrs.) Onomen Goodness Briggs, for her outstanding leadership and commitment to implementing initiatives that directly benefit Edo citizens through technical and vocational education, acknowledging the contributions of the Functioning Director of Policy and Strategic Coordination, Lady Blessing Aiworo Odion, while describing her energy and dedication to Technical and Vocational Programmes as remarkable.

‎“Please keep it up and Edo State will appreciate and remember you”. He advised.

‎Reaffirming the private sector’s partnership with the State, Engr. Godwin Eki emphasized that the synergy between BTVE and EDSOPS, under the guidance of Sen. Okpebholo, positions Edo to overcome challenges and achieve greater progress. In his words, “With the kind of partnership established by the Edo State Government through BTVE and the Edo State Organized Private Sector, there is no obstacle that cannot be surmounted. We pray for continued progress together and for Edo State in general”.

‎The EDSOPS President assured that the organized private sector remains committed to supporting government efforts in building skills, promoting inclusive growth, and advancing sustainable development across Edo State.
