The Honourable member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency in Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Aitenguoba Iyamu has felicitated with the muslim ummah on Eid-al-Fitr and harps on love and good neighbourliness.
Eid-al-Fitr is the feast of breaking the fast, which marks the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan.
Muslim ummah across the world celebrate Eid-al-Fitr, which recalls the revealing of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad and requires Muslims to fast from sunrise to sunset for a month.
While addressing journalists, Iyamu said “I celebrate our Muslim faithful on a successful Ramadan fasting and prayers, I pray Allah accept all our prayers and supplication, keep blessing us, and give us strength at every important step in our lifes”
“The festival of Eid-al-Fitr spreads compassion and brotherhood among us, let’s love and cherish everyone around us.”
He further stated that “selfless love and mercy is a testament to the depth of Allah’s love for each and every one of us, let us also reflect on the teaching of Prophet Muhammed and examine our hearts and acknowledge our own need for forgiveness and love our neighbors unconditionally. ”
