In a significant move to encourage women’s participation in politics and community development, the Coordination Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has extended a warm gesture of appreciation to Oredo APC Women Leaders and Edo Women For Okpebholo during a courtesy visit to the First Lady’s office.

The Coordinator during the meeting, expressed her gratitude to the Oredo women for their vibrant, helpful, and supportive role in ensuring the success of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s during the election.

She appreciated the team leader, Mrs Esther Kolade for her organic love to promoting women’s welfare, highlighting her dedication and commitment to the empowerment of women in Oredo.

Mrs Anani reaffirmed her commitment to supporting Oredo women in their aspirations and projects, stating, The first place I commissioned a school was Oredo. I will give the necessary support to Oredo women to thrive in all their endeavors.

She emphasized the importance of primary healthcare, particularly in reducing infant mortality rates, and pledged to work closely with the Oredo women to achieve this goals.

The Oredo APC Women leader, Mrs. Esther Kolade, in her remarks, thanked the Coordinator Office of the First Lady for her support and dedication to the welfare of women and children in Edo State.

She expressed the group’s appreciation for Governor Okpebholo’s development strides and pledged to work with him to achieve their goals. The Oredo women highlighted their pet project, focusing on infant and maternity care, and requested the First Lady’s office support in revamping primary healthcare centers to ensure safe deliveries.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to collaboration between the First Lady’s office and the Oredo women. Both parties expressed their determination to work together to promote women’s welfare, healthcare, and community development in Oredo Local Government Area and beyond.
