Governor Godwin Obaseki Hails Edo Queens On Victory At CAF Women’s League WAFU B Qualifiers

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated the state-owned female football team, Edo Queens, for emerging winners of the CAF Women’s League WAFU B Qualifiers.

Edo Queens finished the championship unbeaten, coasting through the group stages, defeating Inter FC in the Semi-finals, and trouncing Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic 3-0 to emerge champions.

In a statement, Governor Obaseki hailed the team for their doggedness, commending their brilliant play, hard work, and commitment.

Governor Obaseki congratulated the team for their well-deserved victory and urge them to continue with the brilliant form and proceed to replicate their impressive feat at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
