International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March every year around the world. It’s the day dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements in various social, political, and cultural fields.
The theme for this year is “INVEST IN WOMEN: ACCELERATE PROGRESS.”
The day is associated with green, white, and purple colour.
The first International Women’s Day was marked by over a million people in Australia, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland on the 19th March 1911.
