Hon. Bright Iyamu Commences Perimeter Fencing of Adanako and Ofumwengbe Primary Schools in Orhionmwon LGA

In a swift and decisive move to strengthen security and improve the learning environment in schools across Orhionmwon South Constituency, the Edo State House of Assembly member representing the constituency, Hon. Bright Aitenguoba Iyamu, has formally commenced the construction of perimeter fences at Adanako Primary School in Ugoniyeke, Orhionmwon, and Ofumwengbe Primary School in Ugbokoniro, Ugboko Ward.
The initiative follows persistent appeals from residents who have repeatedly raised concerns over vandalism of school facilities and the unchecked encroachment of roaming cattle and herdsmen—issues that have disrupted academic activities and posed safety risks to pupils and staff.

Speaking at the foundation‑laying ceremony for Adanako Primary School, Hon. Iyamu reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding school environments and promoting quality education in the constituency. He said, “I want the best for my constituency,” and emphasized that the project is part of his broader pledge to deliver tangible development.
The ceremony was attended by key party leaders and community stakeholders, including APC Chairman of Ugboko Ward, Hon. Obey Henry; former Secretary of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Hon. Sunday Okankan; former Chairman of the Edo State Technical and Vocational Board, Hon. Monday Igbinigie; and Ex‑Officio Orhionmwon APC member, Mr. Richard Erhinmwingbovo, among others.
A similar event was held at Ofumwengbe Primary School, where Hon. Iyamu officially kicked off the fencing project. Community leaders and residents expressed profound appreciation, offering prayers for the lawmaker’s continued dedication to the constituency’s development.
