Hon Iyamu commend Obaseki’s master plan for Orhionmwon LGA

The Hon member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency at the Edo state House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Iyamu has given kudos to the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki for keying Orhionmwon into the thirty years master plan for the state.
Hon Iyamu made the remark during the Governor Obaseki interactive engagement meeting with stakeholders of Orhionmwon and Uhunwonde Local Government Area on the Edo State Regional Development Master plan held at the State College of Education, Abudu Campus, Orhionmwon Local Government Area.
Governor Obaseki had during the interactive session said from next month, the State Government will deploy Security apparatus to tackle the menace of insecurities especially Kidnapping bedeviling most parts of Urohnigbe community in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.
The Governor noted that the stakeholders engagement meeting was done to receive input from stakeholders in Orhionmwon and Uhunwonde local government area because they are germene to food production in the state.
He said his administration was committed to ensure that Orhionmwon and Uhunwonde were keyed into the thirty years Edo Regional development Master plan as plans were underway to address challenges facing the area.
The Governor added that his administration within the last seven years has brought in seven international investors in the area of agriculture, energy, oil and gas among others in the two local government and urged stakeholders to embrace the Master plan as it will give successful administration the direction to develop the state.
According to Hon. Iyamu ” with the security architecture put in place by the Governor the farmers in Orhionmwon can now go back to their farms without fear of kidnappers and herdsmen which will invariably lead to more farm produce”.
Iyamu also commended Governor Obaseki over the ongoing construction of Benin-Abraka Road.
Dignitaries at the event includes traditional rulers, Permanent Secretaries, Commissioners, Government functionaries, Stakeholders, Youths Association, Students, amongst other.
