Hon Iyamu drums support for Asein Osariemen at Guinness World longest Reading Marathon

constituency in Edo state House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Iyamu has shown his support for Edo- born Asein Angel Osariemen, as she attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest reading marathon aloud by an individual.

In an attempt to achieve this feat, the 26-year-old 500 level student of Fisheries and Aquatic Biology at the Lagos State University, began her ‘Read-a-thon on Monday 26th February, 2024 at the Library Complex of Edo State Secretariat Building, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, where she has currently surpassed the current Guinness World Record holder, Turkey’s Rysbai Isakov 125 hours and the unofficial John Obot’s 145 hour.

Iyamu cheered the avid reader at the event, as well as tasked the youths of Orhionmwon and Edo state in general to be resourceful and creative, adding that Edo people are known for exploits with a resilient spirit.

Asein Osariemen who has clocked 200 hours, and still counting has gotten a series of accolades from various organisations, Edo State Government and other notable individuals.
