Comedian I Go Save has criticized Nigerians celebrating the cancellation of Burna Boy’s shows in the U.S., following a public row between the singer and a female fan at one of his concerts.
A few weeks ago, Burna Boy interrupted his performance after noticing a female fan sleeping during his show. Feeling disrespected, he publicly asked her to leave the venue.
Following the incident, some Nigerians in the U.S. called for a boycott of his shows. Recently, his concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis were canceled due to poor ticket sales. Many internet users celebrated the cancellations online.
In response, I Go Save took to Instagram Stories to condemn those rejoicing over the development, describing such behavior as “witchcraft” and criticizing people for celebrating someone else’s loss.
