From the Council Chamber in Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, Tinubu fired off: “We’re hustling the diplomatic circuit hard, and mark my words—we’re taking down terrorism for good.” It’s a raw gut-check amid fresh jabs, like U.S. President Donald Trump’s tag of Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern’—a label the Feds slammed as a twisted take on the nation’s hard-fought security grind.
In his debut clapback, Tinubu kept it steady: “Headwinds and jitters be damned—we’re linking up with partners to lock in security, steady the ship, and turbocharge the economy.” He spotlighted the $2.3 billion Eurobond smash—oversubscribed like wildfire—as rock-solid proof that global wallets are betting big on Naija’s rebound.
“The road’s brutal, but unity’s our weapon, purpose our fuel—we’re charging ahead,” he added, rallying Nigerians on the unbreakable vibe: “This nation’s fused tight, laser-locked on peace and plenty.”
Shouting out his cabinet crew, Tinubu hailed their all-in grind on the Renewed Hope blueprint, hammering home the squad-up call: “Stick together, eyes on the prize—reforms don’t bend, they break barriers.” With the world’s eyes—and sometimes side-eyes—on Nigeria, this FEC relaunch feels like a battle cry: No backing down, just bold strides.
