K-Pop Group NewJeans Back with Record Label Following Lost Court Case

By Peter.

In a major K-pop breakthrough, all five members of NewJeansMinji, Danielle, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein—have confirmed their return to ADOR, ending a tumultuous dispute that gripped the industry since late 2024.

The saga ignited when the group sought to exit ADOR, alleging mistreatment, manipulation, and unmet demands like reinstating ex-CEO Min Hee-jin amid her clash with parent company HYBE. After failed independent efforts as “NJZ” and a Seoul court ruling upholding their contracts through 2029 on October 30, the members bowed to the verdict.

Haerin and Hyein led the announcements via ADOR’s X account, vowing to “respect the court’s ruling and return.” The trio—Minji, Hanni, and Danielle—followed suit on November 12, citing a communication delay (one was in Antarctica) but affirming their intent to resume activities and meet fans with “sincere music and performances.” ADOR is verifying details and pledges full support for their comeback.

Though not the outright split fans feared, the resolution spares the chart-toppers behind “Super Shy” and “ETA” from a potential breakup, stabilizing their trajectory and bolstering ADOR’s roster. Observers hail it as a win for industry continuity, with new music likely on the horizon.
