Drag superstar and Strictly Come Dancing favourite La Voix has just landed her biggest theatre role yet: she will star as the iconic orphanage tyrant Miss Hannigan in the major new UK and Ireland tour of Annie, kicking off in May 2026.
The Buckinghamshire queen, who reached the final of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World and had to withdraw from Strictly last Saturday due to injury, broke the news on Friday:
“I’m beyond excited to play Miss Hannigan on the new Annie tour next year. She’s loud, she’s chaotic, she’s glamorous in a ‘hasn’t-slept-since-1973’ sort of way — basically, the role I was born to play. Brace yourselves, darlings… La Hannigan is here!”
The production opens at New Wimbledon Theatre in May 2026 and will visit:
- Birmingham
- Manchester
- Plymouth
- Canterbury
- Cardiff
- Milton Keynes
- Edinburgh …and continues into 2027 with stops in Norwich, Sheffield, Glasgow, and more.
Previous Miss Hannigans on UK tours include Paul O’Grady, Craig Revel Horwood, and Miranda Hart — La Voix now joins that legendary lineup with her own unapologetically camp, larger-than-life twist.
