The Coordinator, Office of the Edo First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has urged leaders to embrace inclusive leadership, emphasizing that true leadership is service to humanity.
She made this call during a courtesy visit by the Acting Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Mr. Gabriel Iduseri, in Government House, Benin City.
Mrs. Anani stressed the importance of empowering women and girls, prioritizing healthcare, and providing skills acquisition opportunities to build a more balanced and progressive society. She further highlighted the need for leaders to focus on impactful initiatives that improve lives, rather than pursuing exorbitant projects that yield little social value.
In his response, Mr. Iduseri commended Mrs. Anani for her visionary leadership, humanitarian initiatives, and unwavering commitment to the empowerment of women and children. He pledged his support and partnership in advancing her mission of creating a better, more inclusive society.
He noted that many mothers are already celebrating the positive changes they have experienced, while children continue to share testimonies of how the Office of the First Lady has improved their lives.
