By Peter.

Rising Latin music artist Maria De La Rosa (stage name DELAROSA), 22, was fatally shot in an apparent ambush outside her vehicle in Northridge, Los Angeles, early Saturday, November 22, 2025, around 1:25 a.m. local time near Bryant Street and Tampa Avenue. Two other victims remain in critical condition; all three were inside the parked car when two male suspects approached and opened fire, per LAPD reports.

No arrests have been made, and the motive remains under investigation; LAPD urges tips (213-485-2500 or LAPD Online Reporting).

A Rising Star Cut Short

De La Rosa, known for blending Latin rhythms with contemporary pop, released her final single “No Me Llames” in August 2025—a sultry breakup anthem teasing her debut EP. Her October 30 Instagram post hinted at more: “Busy cookin in the Stu. don’t call me. It’s about that time.” With a growing TikTok following (500K+) and features on Latin playlists, she was on the cusp—her loss leaves fans and family reeling.

Heartfelt Tributes from Loved Ones

Maria’s relative Deyanira De La Rosa reshared messages on her Instagram Stories, amplifying grief. Devin Christiansen, a friend who met Maria at the gym 9–10 years ago when “at my lowest,” credited her with kickstarting his modeling career:

“I couldn’t be thankful enough… Fast forward years later and just 2 days ago… I didn’t put 2 and 2 together. Come to find out… it was Deyanira’s daughter Maria. I am truly sorry for your loss. God has received an angel… No words can ever express this type of loss and pain.”

Fans flooded her page: “Your voice was magic… gone too soon.” The LAPD investigation continues; no leads yet, but the community rallies for justice.

Rest in power, Maria—your music lives on. 💔
