Mohamed Salah Returns to Liverpool Training Amid Uncertain Future

Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah reported for Liverpool training on Tuesday, as questions continue to swirl over his future at the Premier League champions.

The 33-year-old forward, who has scored 250 goals since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, was left out of the squad for Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League match against Inter Milan following his public criticism of Reds manager Arne Slot. Salah had expressed frustration after being left on the bench for three consecutive games, claiming he felt “thrown under the bus” and that his relationship with Slot had broken down.

Salah drove himself to Liverpool’s training facility in Kirkby and shared a picture from the gym on Instagram, signaling his commitment to fitness amid ongoing uncertainty.

Slot, asked about Salah’s future at a pre-match press conference in Milan, admitted he could not answer whether the forward had played his last game for the Reds. “He has every right to feel what he feels, but he doesn’t have the right to share it with the media,” the manager said.

Reports suggest Saudi clubs are preparing offers for Salah, raising speculation about a potential January move. The forward is set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations after Liverpool’s home match against Brighton.

Salah expressed his disappointment at being repeatedly benched despite promises made during the summer. With the January transfer window approaching, all eyes will be on Anfield to see if Salah remains at Liverpool or pursues a new chapter in his career.
