Mrs. Onomen Goodness Briggs Assumes Office as Executive Chairman of Edo SUBEB

Mrs. Onomen Goodness Briggs officially assumed office today as the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). She was warmly received by the directors and staff of the board amidst singing and jubilations, reflecting their enthusiasm for her leadership.
Marking her first day in office, Mrs. Briggs held a closed-door meeting with members of the board at the boardroom of the SUBEB office, located on the 8th floor of Block D in the State Secretariat building.
In her reception address, the Director of Shared Services, Mrs. Beatrice Ada Oluku, pledged the staff’s unalloyed support and loyalty to ensure Mrs. Briggs’ success and the overall success of SUBEB. She assured the new chairman of the staff’s readiness to work collaboratively to advance the board’s goals.
Other directors present at the reception included Mrs. Justina Odubel, Director of Legal; Mr. Goodluck Edonmwadagbon, Director of Quality Assurance; Mr. Austin Ighodaro, Director of Social Mobilization; and Mr. Austin Otas, Director of Schools Support Services.
As part of her activities, Mrs. Briggs paid a familiarization visit to the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Paddy Iyamu. The two leaders held a closed-door meeting to discuss strategies for elevating the quality of education in Edo State to greater heights.
Representatives of Sterling Bank also paid a courtesy visit to Mrs. Briggs, congratulating her on her appointment.
In her remarks, Mrs. Briggs expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged her commitment to revitalizing basic education in Edo State, emphasizing teamwork, collaboration, and innovation as key drivers of success.
