The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has called on all Nigerians to immediately report any adverse reactions from medicines, vaccines, cosmetics, herbal products, medical devices, or chemicals.
Speaking on Friday, November 21, 2025, Edo State Coordinator Mrs. Esther Itua emphasized that pharmacovigilance is everyone’s responsibility — not just healthcare professionals.

- Reports go directly to the National Pharmacovigilance Centre with instant confirmation
“You get immediate feedback once your report is received,” Itua said.
A sensitisation programme held Wednesday in Benin City trained participants on spotting and reporting unusual reactions. Representatives from the Office of the First Lady of Edo State, led by Edesili Okpebholo Anani, attended in support.
Itua stressed: “Strong pharmacovigilance enhances drug safety, boosts public confidence, and reduces health risks. Even one report can save thousands of lives.”
NAFDAC continues to push digital tools to make reporting fast, easy, and effective nationwide.
